What We Believe
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word, without error in its original writings, and our final authority for faith and life (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20–21).
God
There is only one God, and He has always existed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three persons, one God (Matt. 28:19).
Jesus Christ
Jesus is God’s Son, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross in our place, and rose from the dead. One day He will return to rule and to judge the world (1 Cor. 15:3–4; 2 Cor. 5:21; Phil. 2:6-11; 1 Thess. 4:13–18).
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God living in us. He shows us our need for Jesus, gives us new life, and guides us as we grow, serve, and live in God’s way (John 16:7–14; Rom. 8:11).
People & Sin
Every person has sinned and fallen short of God’s standard. On our own, we cannot save ourselves or earn God’s favor (Rom. 3:9-23, 10:9-10; Eph. 2:1–9).
Salvation
Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received by faith in Jesus Christ, whose death and resurrection provide forgiveness of sins and new life (Rom. 3:24–28; Eph. 2:8–9).
Eternal Security
All who are saved are kept secure in Christ forever (Rom. 8:1, 29–39; Phil. 1:6).
Life After Death
Believers go immediately into Christ’s presence at death. Unbelievers face eternal separation from God (2 Cor. 5:6–8; John 3:36; Rev. 20:12–15).
The Church
All who trust in Christ are members of His Body, the Church. Believers are called to unity, spiritual growth, service, and proclaiming the gospel (Eph. 4:4–6; 1 Cor. 12:12–13).
Spiritual Growth
God calls believers to live holy lives through the Spirit’s work, Scripture, prayer, fellowship, and service. One day we will be made complete when we see Christ face to face (Rom. 12:1–2; 1 John 3:2).
The Mission of Believers
Our purpose is to glorify God by living godly lives, proclaiming the message of reconciliation through Christ, and building up one another in love (2 Cor. 5:17–21; Eph. 4:11–16).
Baptism
We recognize and acknowledge baptism of the Spirit into the body of Christ at the moment of salvation. While not necessary for salvation, some believers publicly declare and celebrate their new faith by being baptized by water. (Acts 16:29-34; 1 Corinthians 1:11-17, 12:13; Ephesians 4:1-6)
Communion
We observe communion in remembrance of Christ until He comes (1 Cor. 11:23–26).
